Wednesday, May 16, 2018 - Tuscany wine tour with Tim Syrad Wine Tours. Visit to Felsina winery in Castelnuovo Bererdenga. Notes by my wife Liz.
o 100% Chardonnay from Colli Senesi – clay & sandstone
o Harvest a bit early (normally mid-Sept; 2014 mid-Aug) => good acidity
o primary fermentation in barrique, then malolactic (stir sediment twice daily for 3 weeks – makes soft & creamy)
L – Light Gold, hint green
T – Slightly bitter, fresh, aromatic, full bodied
