Monday, November 13, 2006 - Colour is dense, ruby/purple. At first the nose is packed and stacked with freshly ground white pepper, laurels and raspberries. The pepper is almost unpleasant. The concentration is fine and some fruit is present. But to me, again almost too much pepper on the palate, mixed with some tobacco, herbs and a touch of strong espresso. The fruit seems slightly green and unripe or is this just the characteristics of this grape, this vegetal touch? Not my style of wine although it softens up and becomes better integrated with air.
