Thursday, December 25, 2014 - Wow. An absolute ethereal wine. RP is a savant in his prediction of this more than 15 years ago. Nose of bacon, olive and sweet cherry. Not all at once but in waves that stimulate and excite the brain. First taste impression is that it is young and still foreboding. However in a few seconds, elegance and great length consume the palate. Nothing overpowering. Tannins still very evident. Without decant- Pepper, stone, sour cherry. Puckering finish ends in a long mineral note and a sigh... With a 3 hour decant- tertiary flavors and soft notes have developed nicely. Darker fruit, bass tones, wet animal, pepper. Exceptional.
