Sunday, April 14, 2024 - I enjoyed the Lazy Creek wines throughout their different owners and winemaking regimens. This generation under the Ferrari-Carano umbrella was probably my favorite. A plush, maybe more accessible style of Pinot Noir, but almost never unbalanced, still a lot of integrity. This bottle shows the tradeoffs of emphasizing fruit early on - as it fades 8-9 years later, the rest of the wine isn't quite as interesting. But still superb Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, just drink them now.
