90 Points

Thursday, April 12, 2018 - Attractive nose with primary aromas of fresh cherries and forest berries, plus discrete notes of brown spice such as cinnamon and nutmeg. Very nice balance in the mouth, fresh yet soft, with gentle grip similar to grape or cherry pits. Already open for pleasure. Very wise move to bottle without any addition of so2, since the wine was on the reductive side at the bottling stage. So2 would only have emphazised this, and made the wine more angular and less approachable. A go-to choice for grilled chicken this summer and the next.
