Friday, March 5, 2021 - Very purple - nose quite muted black fruit alcohol burn upfront. Palate very smooth (alcohol!) with pronounced black cherry - said to be 60% Grenache 40 % Syrah - I get the grenache for sure but the elegance/ sophistication of Syrah? - well not for me right now. Having said all that this is a good value mid-Rhône so don’t let me put you off!!!
And an hour later the Syrah comes through like Blucher at Waterloo!
Anyhow good wine whichever way up!
