Friday, May 18, 1990 - With Michael Lehmann at Singer & Foy vertical tasting of Vieux Telegraphe. Good color. Lighter edge. Nose is just like roast coffee. I like it; some wouldn't. Reminds me of how the 1978 Corton Grancey smelled. On the palate, somewhat lighter, still good, though without the power and richness of some of the others. Good, but at its peak now. 5–12–14–6: 87/100.
