Friday, June 26, 2009 - Smells like reduced black cherry juice with a little bit of white pepper. Loads of cherry and raspberry fill the palate with gentle vanilla through the mid-palate. Very soft tannins on the finish. There is a slight tobacco taste mixed with dried red fruit. This is an interesting, well-made wine. It seems young up front yet fully aged on the finish. It is tough to say how it will age from here. I'd drink it soon.
