Sunday, January 1, 2023 - I received this gem as a Christmas present and I popped it open several evening's ago. It sat in the decanter briefly and I poured it to celebrate the New Year. I took my first sip as the ball in Times Square dropped. My first impression was fairly good. The wine drank nicely for a young Brunello. It displayed aroma's of menthol, licorice and cassis. I sipped some more on evening two and it had mellowed out nicely. This is definitely a wine that will only get better with age and I plan to add a few bottles to my cellar.
