Even after a double decant for a few hours and a full decant for a few hours more, this stays in the friend zone for most of consumption. With food (turmeric pork medallions), the Riotte offers ample cut and verve, but from a flavor expansion standpoint, it is missing a few layers of complexity that hopefully some time in bottle can remedy. It was a good performance; it just wasn't an especially memorable one. Much less dynamic and showy than the last bottle I had back in 2020.
