Thursday, February 16, 2023 - Was surprised to find 2 bottles in my cellar of this champagne, bought 7yrs ago in auction.
The 1st bottle was totally past.
The 2nd bottle fared much better.
Deep golden color with virtually no bubbles.
Intense aged nose, with honeycomb, mushroom, earth, nuts aromas. Obviously oxidized.
Full body, with very little sparkle in the mouth. Quite oxidized but still enjoyable with intense flavours of Honey, ginger, currant. Savoury with excellent persistence and length. Acidity totally integrated.
Really excellent.
