Community Tasting Note

Sunday, January 21, 2024 - Way too young - against my better judgment and with multiple older nebbs available I nonetheless checked in on this one. Beautiful clear crimson at pour into decanter. Restrained nose - clean - rock dust red raspcherry. Tartness and astringent tannins dominate first taste. By the end of the night in the decanter this wine did not budge.
Next AM for breakfast as coffee was brewing the last 1.5 glasses in the decanter showed a different face with the nice fruit on the nose being able to stay and play a little while as the fierce tannins which were so astringently granular began to lean toward its eventual velvet. If I were to mistakenly uncork another in the near or medium term I would decant for double digit hours. Best just to lie dormant in a cool cellar for another decade.
