Monday, August 10, 2020 - My first experience with a pre-phyloxera Bordeaux. Like no other Bordeaux I have ever had. Some postulated there might be some Syrah in the blend. Beautiful red fruit and cherry flavors that I never associate with Bordeaux. Amazingly alive with brilliant long flavors and complexity. I really liked this wine and perhaps my 94 is grade inflation because of the age but what a great and completely different wine from any other Bordeaux I have ever had.
