Friday, April 1, 2011 - Decanted for sediment and drank side by side with the 1990. Very similar garnet color. Nose of dusty red fruits, cherries and spice. Light to medium bodied with red fruit palate, some oak notes and a bit of an herbal streak. 30 second finish with brighter red fruits, some clove and cedar. Fully mature. Drink short term.

This suffered in comparison to the 1990. It was very similar profile, just smaller in every way, but still a very good bottle of wine.
