Sunday, May 27, 2012 - Lovely medium to dark ruby color. Rich long slow legs. Nose of cassis, licorice and blueberry... A little different than the last bottle but still wonderful. Complex and layered powerful but with some finesse. In addition to the nice fruit the layers of cedar, licorice and creme brûlée and a hint of tobacco. Still lots of life left. Writing this note 5 hours after decanting and it's still evolving and improving.
