Tuesday, July 4, 2017 - Subpar for Montelena, though still perhaps a success for the vintage. This lacks the fruit I'd like it to have to balance the marked pyrazine note and savoriness. Balance and mouthfeel impeccable and fairly bordelaise without a strong oak note.
