Saturday, May 10, 2008 - Purchased off the wine list at Niche Restaurant. The first bottle was corked. Bottle number two was quickly opened and decanted. Garnet color. Opened with an earthy, leathery note. This was ordered as we placed our order, so a couple of glasses were poured and set aside. With air it developed a note of new saddle leather, along with aromas of plum, cedar and violets. On the palate this displayed plummy dark fruit and blackberry flavors, along with fine grained tannin and a touch of spicy oak. Quite thin through the midpalate and finish.
