Saturday, March 27, 2010 - Served blind: Smelled absolutely delicious. Round, fresh cedar board, anise, fresh blackberries, tobacco, gravel. The palate showed earth, bark, spiced red cherries and more gravel. Slightly resolved but still holds a firm structure, very long finish with nice evolution, the tannins are slightly coarse and dirty feeling, like I just ate a mouthful of dirt. (in a good way though?) Overall I really enjoyed this wine.
