Friday, February 16, 2024 - WOTN in a solid lineup.

Btl No. 20241

Minimal splash decant served up along side two other wines at the same time. The 17 JLC & 14 La La.

The window of approach is open for now. Nose, palate and finish all jiving. Long smooth lingering tannins. Generous weight compared to the lift of the La Landonne.

Evolved nicely over dinner and conversation. 17 made it to the table but had nothing to add to the discourse.

2/19/2024 3:36:00 PM - The suspense of the 2010 keeps building... I have some 2016, I assume hold for how long? 10-15 years? Thanks on 2017, gladly keep that back for another decade plus. how was 2010 VCC?

2/21/2024 4:21:00 AM - Yeah, I need to figure out when and where to drink the 2010. Most likely on vacation somewhere special..

2021 Rhone's are starting to roll in. I'm waiting on pricing and allocations. Not sure that I'll go as big considering the challenges of the vintage. Oh, I'll get some notes on 2010 VCC up soon. It was much better when not in the Rhone lineup during the follow up approach over the next few days.
