Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - If I tell you the wine I'm about to serve comes from young vines, you might be inclined to begin forming an opinion of your approaching experience. You might rely on your past experiences and/or what you've heard or read about wines that come from young vines. You'd be wrong. This wine is proof. This was served, non-blind, with ~ 2,5 hours in wide bottom decanter at cellar temp, with the idea that it would blossom, continually until the final sip. It did exactly that. Having said that, I'd not be inclined to open any further bottles for at least 2-3 years; needs time, and/or lots of air for a more complete showing. Served alongside the '12, I liked them nearly equally, if for slightly different reasons. Understated brilliance. highly recommended

5/14/2024 11:07:00 AM - Your note mentioning the slow blossoming of this wine in decanter rings true to this day almost 4 years later. Decanted my bottle at 4 in the afternoon and didn’t really begin to show its depth of savory tertiary nuance for 3 or 4 hours. Can’t wait to taste the remainder again today on day 2. A wonderful creation.
