Tuesday, December 11, 2007 - I didn't expect much from this one to be honest. Opened out of curiosity and turned out to be quite an experience. Still shows a bright, youthful nose full of bright black raspberry fruits, delicate spices, and a toasted coconut characteristic. The palate isn't as fresh, but is showing some complexity of truffle, wet dirt, dried red currant, and a nice spiciness. Slight bitter herbal edge offsets the fruit. Great acidity keeps it alive. Very impressive to see that this is showing the way it is.
