Tuesday, July 1, 2008 - I noticed some chocolate on the nose. When tasted, the first impression was quite good. No strong flavor nor fruit bouquet, but a soft tannin with a good, sweet finish for a Cabernet Sauvignon. When tasted with food, herbs came in on the palate. However as time wore on, I started noticing imbalances and inconsistencies. I was getting sudden kicks of acid that were unexpected, and the tannins started acting as if the wine was much younger than 5 years old. Overall, an interesting wine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get another one.
