Sunday, January 10, 2010 - Surprisingly tight. Started to come around after two hours in the decanter. Needs 5-6 years. Medicinal cherry, licorice, cassis nose. Beautiful, clean, silky structure. Meaty, with dark, dark berries and black licorice coating the mid-palate (No oak in sight!). Developed sticky brown sugar component after 2.5 hours. Medium finish. This will certainly gain complexity.
