Friday, September 1, 2006 - Decanted for 30 minutes. Some funk on the nose that blew off after about 30 minutes in the decanter. Medium-bodied with a slight bit of bricking beginning to show around the edge. Plumb, cherries, licorice, pepper, earth and leather dominate the nose and palate, but lacked complexity and depth. The tannins are very subdued but I think this wine will still last another 10 years.
