NOSE: garrigue!; hints of funk, kirsch, and warm cherries round out the moderately expressive bouqet.

BODY: garnet core with burnt sienna rim; color is of medium-light depth; sediment is present; medium-light bodied.

TASTE: a bit austere and tannic, but the acidity isn't completely lacking; olive and leather dominate; fading raspberry chimes in, too. More earthy than fruity; medium-light flavor; 30 second finish. Drink now. This won't blow your socks off, but for $15 it's one helluva drink. I would certainly buy again at that price.
