95 Points

Sunday, March 24, 2024 - Inky purple with a hint of browning creeping in. Feminine nose, luscious ripe blackberry hits you first, fruits of the forest jam, some vanilla cream, hints of licorice and faint cedarwood, but its really the concentrated blackberry that's front and centre. All old barrels, no new oak used for maturation. The palate is juicy, supple tannins, fruit driven with that blackberry driving to a long finish. Great intensity and density, and a lovely change from oak bomb Shiraz. Paired with a 650g Rib Eye.
