Thursday, May 30, 2019 - Medium ruby. The nose is medium intensity with red cherries, red currants, some dried red fruit, some floral, perhaps faint elderberry. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, medium fine tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body and medium plus finish. Palate demonstrates fresh and dried red fruits- cherries, currants, some vanilla, toast, coffee, dried earth, and baking spices. Overall the wine is a nice Pinot Noir typical California fruit forward but lacking tertiary aromas and some typicity. Drink now or can hold 3-5 yrs.
