Sunday, January 31, 2010 - Tasted side by side with the 2000 Cavalotto Barolo Riserva Vignolo. Similar characteristics on the nose with floral aromas, bright cherries and some baking spice notes. Much more approachable on the palate with refined, silky tannins and mouthwatering acid. Not as dry as the Vignolo. Clean, long finish and overall balance are the highlights of this wine. Really well made barolo.
