Community Tasting Note

Saturday, September 14, 2019 - Bought 3b for 7/b in a mixed case order from WL one month ago. No decant, none needed. Medium purple; good red fruit nose; Rhone-like but fruitier, good mouthfeel. Drunk over four days with attractive evolution from mini-oxidation; fruit became less bright. Stored vertically (screwcap) in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable when considering quality, age, and price.
