Wednesday, July 1, 2015 - Dark garnet colour with a hint of blue. Unfiltered. Alcohol on the nose, with a grassy herbal note. Dark berries and beetroot. Very full bodied and poweful on the palate, almost reminding of an Amarone. Bitter cherries, dark berries, pleasant mellow tannins, balanced acidity. This wine carries its years with grace. There may have been some loss in the floral and fruity qualities, but all in all this is an excellent mature wine.
