Thursday, December 6, 2012 - PnP, pours a light to medium ruby. Medium weight, with a nose of iron, brick dust, musk, plum, strawberry. Good sweet fruit, now showing a little maturity, with plummy caramelized flecks amidst the tart cherry and red fruits and oak. Nice balance and structure, fine tannins on the long finish. On day two this is disjointed, acidic raspberry tart and lacking structure. Some residual barrel influences, but much better on day one.
