Thursday, November 17, 2022 - Dark garnet w/ dark brick edge in color. Somewhat muted nose of sweet earth, red berries and licorice. On the palate: a bright beam of sour cherry dominates, leading into notes of tobacco and sweet earth. Medium-to-long finish of red berries and a hint of spice. Sandy tannins are well integrated and are perceived only slightly on the gums. On day two, the fruit was significantly faded. I'm guessing this is close to its prime now (tho it would be just fine for many years to come).
