Sunday, April 18, 2021 - It's been 3 years since we last tried this wine and it has only gotten better with age, flirting with perfection (probably warrants a perfect score)! Was wine of the night and was declared epic by one of the participants. Two people guessed it was a mature Bordeaux based on the nose which was stunning, and reinforced my belief that this wine is an absolutely perfect integration of old and new world wine styles. Lots of dark cherry with a youthfulness that belies its 19 year old age. This wine is in the perfect drinking window and extremely hard to imagine that it can possibly get any better. It was our last bottle and we were able to share it with dear friends making it a truly magnificent experience. If you are one of the fortunate few to own this wine, I highly recommend pulling out a bottle and enjoying it at your next special occasion.
