Saturday, May 7, 2016 - deep black-red colour, almost opaque in the decanter, classic Pauillac "lead-pencils" nose, Cabernet dominates on the nose, solid on the palate with good balance, "masculine" in style, very typical of the Chateau, not so strong on finesse or nuances but always very reliable and an excellent food wine (particularly with good steak as in this case), still relatively youthful, good now but absolutely no rush to drink (and this review is for a half bottle!)
