Saturday, April 20, 2024 - Nose of cola, cranberry preserves, sassafras — and a palate with much of the same. Texturally it has a sort of smooth and slick quality, I didn’t quite feel the heaviness that others did, but you definitely feel the oak. The other Walt wines I’ve come across always seemed a little oaky and round to me and I liked this one a little more. Good for the style they’re going for, though sort of not my thing.
