Saturday, May 16, 2020 - Perhaps the best wine I’ve ever had. Was skeptical, as this wine has been in a bottle 19+ years. Cork came out no problem, with no TLC needed. The acid has carried this wine for the long haul, with no shortage of acid even at this length.
Temperature key here, with flavors muted for first few minutes out of fridge. Then the movie theater buttered popcorn becomes prominent, along with ripe green apples and a touch of banana. Acid still kicking which gives it a long finish.
