Friday, June 3, 2011 - Popped and poured. Initial Southern Rhone funk on the nose, which I love. Very rich layered nose of sweet bacon, white pepper, red licorice and floral notes. Very CdP like. Blind tasting would have fooled me. Everything in balance on the palate, fruit, oak, acidity and tannins. This is a special CdR. It was always outside of my price point for CdR but I was wrong! This is worth it.
