Sunday, January 8, 2023 - Note was written after the fact, but entire bottle was consumed. Initially tight, but mellowed slightly over the course of a couple hours. Slightly sour, but paired well with red meat and grilled vegetables. Not the best showing of this bottling, possible issue with this particular bottle. The reason I say that is the tannins are very pretty and refined which is typical of this vineyard, but the acidity is all out of whack in the finish. I'd suspect it's heat damaged but the fruit is still really pretty on the palate, so who knows. We drank a 2017 La Boheme a few weeks ago that absolutely blew the doors off of this wine.
