Monday, February 23, 2015 - Opened alongside with 81 Vega Silica Unicon, 83 Las Mission Haut Brion, 86 Pichon Lalande, 85 Ducru-Beaucaillou and 88 Mouton Rothschild. The best was Lynch Bages! Then VS, Mouton and PL, then La Mission, and DB. The ones in the best vintage showed better structure and complexity. Garnet in colour with brick rim. This is surprisingly young on the nose. I could still find blue berries, bacon, and black currants! Lots of dark berries, spices, graphite, tobacco and hints liquorice with smooth structure and long finish. Best 82 Bordeaux I have ever had!
