90 Points

Thursday, November 15, 2007 - Consistently good wine, though fairly poor QPR. Great spiciness in the nose with dark berries, ripe strawberry, hints of chocolate, and toast. It is luscious in the mouth with abundant ripe fruit -- blackberry, currant, plum mixed with distinct wood flavors. Cedar and charred oak lead to a tobacco-like spiciness, leather, and mocha. Lots of layers of flavors. Ends with a tannic punch -- should have decanted. Big mouthful of flavors, solid tannins, nice balance.
