90 Points

Monday, August 31, 2020 - Sous le Mont is one of the three Pinot Noir single vineyard (lieux-dits) Champagnes from Jacques Selosse, also the least powerful wine of the three. The vineyard is located on the same hill as Clos des Goisses as well as around the side. Blend of three vintages. This bottle was disgorged in 17 Jan 2019, so possibly 2012 base vintage. Tasted blind and was immediately stuck by its oxidative and ultra-ripe fruit profile. Plenty of red berries, lively lemons and sweet wood spices. Vinous and blunt. Guillaume Selosse? 100% Pinot Noir? (90/100)
