Shy on the nose and brisk/crisp on the palate when first opened, but with some air and as it warmed up, it opened to show more nuance: better delineated fruit and some nuttiness on the nose, and more fleshed out fruit on the palate. Still bright and tangy, but with enough heft to balance that. Really nice, classic Chardonnay without any gussying up.
