Sunday, August 3, 2014 - Very old-world / French in style. Lots of earth, tobacco, wet leaves / forest floor and nicely integrated wood on both the nose and palate. Powerful, complex, smooth and well-rounded. Nice balance and mouth feel. Well worth the $29, I'd be content to pay double that. Drinking very nicely now, but should be able to last and evolve for a number of years.

Fourteen years on I was thinking to open one bottle but seems this second is evolving in a very slow motion, following this 2000 vintage.
I'm changing my dates at every TN I am reading :-)
Cheers!
