Friday, July 19, 2019 - Color - Medium to dark Garnet
Nose - Jam, spice, plum, Berries.
Palate - A bit of a bite, harshness or bitterness on forward portion of tongue that covered up the fruit, could not get past. As it opened up in the glass the harshness began to dissipate and fruit began to show but never disappeared, may need some age in the bottle. Not bad but not good.
24 hours later the off taste is gone and the fruit is now there. The wine is a bit flat, lacking acid, which is to be expected when grapes are picked at a higher brix to get the higher alcohol and more fruit forwardness. Age did as I thought it would once opened.
