The Kistler is really good so decided to try this as a comparison with king crab and a few veggies. When I first tasted it thought "what is the big deal" as the Kistler seemed so much more upfront. After about an hour the Kongsgaard kind of opened up and showed amazing complexity. MY experience had not prepared me for a CA chardonnay opening up much like a red. This and Kistler are great wines both costing about $75. Would like something a little less expensive for everyday drinking or for my wife to drink with friends. However after tasting this and Kistler anything else pales in comparison. Have to say these two are in a class by themselves and which one is better is a personal choice. Maybe I will just split the difference with equal quantities of each.
