Saturday, June 14, 2008 - Ordered a bottle from the Admiral's List at the Reel Club in Oak Brook.
The wine was a beautiful color in the glass. A deep rich golden hue.
The aromas were overwhelming, toasted nuts, deep pineapple, pear and other citrus fruits. Oak and more charred wood entered the scene.
The palate is impeccable. Beautifully balanced. Long and rich finish that doesn't let up. So much going on here, yet in perfect harmony.
Lovely creamy feeling on the palate showing more citrus fruit, burnt toffee and yet again, OAK. But the oak isn't out of balanced, it's just right up front.
This was the best white wine I have tried to date. Bought a second bottle at cost for the cellar. Yay!
