Sunday, April 9, 2023 - From magnum. The color is a translucent ruby that looks like California pinot noir. This wine tastes like the bottle looks - a screwcap wine with no punt. Seriously, I know those aren't bad, but this tastes like "plonk". Boring overall and a little harsh, with no finish at all. Day 2 under argon, the wine is even more mellow but a stinky funk has taken residency. I love my funk but this is not good funk. I have not been impressed with any of the Bonny Doon wines that I purchased, I wonder if they're living off their previously-built reputation.
