The oak characters of clove spices and vanilla are immediately apparent on the palate, with peach and pineapple. A style that is somewhat parallel to the whites of Bordeaux, somewhat richer, fuller bodied, and warmer. Some breathing brings about more candied flavors of lychee as well as the nail varnish commonly associated with aged Rieslings. Not something I’d expect from Sauvignon Blanc, but it’s interesting
