Sunday, October 21, 2018 - Not quite reaching the heady peaks of the 2015, but this is still a nice Shiraz. The blackberry and dark plum fruit are concentrated, and have a generous mouthfeel, creating good power through the palate. There is a lot going on in the mid-palate, with some herbal characters, soft spices, dark chocolate and a nice lick of spearmint through to the finish. The tannins are quite firm but taste a little raw, needing time to integrate fully, with good acidity in support. Quite a nice wine that will improve with time.
