Tasted March 28, 2006 at home with a dinner of bell peppers stuffed with Italian sausage. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Ruby color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of burnt rubber, black cherries with some floral components. Singular and barely notable flavors of red cherry, red berries and a little earthiness on the finish. Later some “metallic” notes. Even later some notes of iodine. Tart. Acidity is way out of whack. “Fruit flat” on the palate. Poor effort. Stated otherwise, this wine sucks. Value is unacceptable.
